We make a traditional flat rimmed plate as well as a more modern tall rimmed plate (see photos for pictured styles). Choose which glaze color you’d like as well as your rim glaze preference – raw or glazed.

Are KJ wares food safe?
Yes! All of our wares are made without lead or cadmium. Please enjoy foods and beverages in them.
Are KJ wares food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe?
Yes! All of our products:
- can be heated in an oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. When using wares in the oven we recommend heating your pieces slowly so that they do not experience temperature shock.
- are good to go in the microwave for reheating.
- can be run through the dishwasher. We recommend a gentle cycle on the top rack, if you must. For maximum longevity, consider washing your KJ piece by hand.
What do I do if my piece arrives broken?
We do our very best to pack each and every ware with premium and environmentally conscious packing materials and extra, personal care. That said, sometimes breaks happen in transit.
If you receive a broken piece in your shipment, please contact us as quickly as possible. We will need a couple of good photos of the broken wares as well as the packing materials. We will file a claim with the carrier, we insure all of our packages. After we hear from you, we will start the process of sending you some replacement wares.
Can I return my purchased items for an exchange or a refund?
Yes, we accept returns and exchanges. We are a small business and we work hard to help you know how and what to buy that may work the best for you. That being said, if you are unhappy with your order we will accept a return and refund your purchase. We do not pay for return shipping.
If you are sending a package back to us please be sure to pack each piece carefully, just like it came to you. We cannot refund or exchange for wares that break in shipping due to poor packaging on your part. If you need packing instructions, please reach out to us.
Can I customize my order?
We have spent years crafting specific wares that are meant to be artistic, appealing and functional. We are consistently playing with new glazes, styles, and ideas. That said, we do not create individual pieces or sets by custom commission.
The one exception to this is for wholesale purchases. Learn more about those here.
Can I come to the studio to shop or to pick up my order?
Yes! Our studio is open to the public, however it is always a good idea to send us an email before coming by as we do not always keep the same hours. If you are local and you would like to pick-up an online purchase you can select this as your shipping option and we will notify you as soon as your wares are ready to be picked up
Where does KJ Pottery ship?
We ship to the US and Canada. Duties and taxes from foreign transactions are on the customer to pay. If you live outside of North America and you are interested in placing an order please send us an email to discuss shipping options and cost.

After living in Spokane, WA for 4 years, KJ Pottery had become a staple in the household. Now, as I live in Pennsylvania, I still have these wonderful pieces of art that remind me of the PNW. I am a bit of a loyalist, but KJ Pottery is the best. Even the Seconds are top notch. One day, I will replace all my dish ware with pottery and you best believe that KJ will be most of it.
I’ve always wanted a mug made by a local potter and asked for this for my birthday. I looked all over and finally found this one. There were so many colors to choose from. The mug is very sturdy with a nice wide base. The handle is a good size for medium hands and the thumb rest is just the right size for a heavier mug. It’s the only mug I use!
I love the berry bowl. It was perfect and came at the perfect time for blackberry harvest!!
